What is UTI?
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection in any part of the urinary system, most commonly the bladder. It is usually caused by bacteria entering the urinary tract.
Symptoms of UTI may include:
- A strong or frequent urge to urinate
- Burning or pain with urination
- Passing small amounts of urine or feeling like the bladder is not being emptied fully
- Cloudy or unpleasant-smelling urine
- Pelvic or lower abdominal discomfort
