Diagnosis and Treatment - Who are Pure healthcare providers?
Pure’s clinicians are part of our team, they care about you and share Pure’s mission to provide the best medical care. Our physicians are medically trained, U.S. board certified in their specialties, licensed, and credentialed.
Can Pure treat medical emergencies?
No. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR ANY LIFE-THREATENING SYMPTOMS OR CONDITIONS. In an emergent situation, you should : (i) call 911; (ii) go to the nearest emergency room; (iii) contact your local crisis center; or (iv) if applicable, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-272-8255).
Can my Pure provider write me a prescription?
Yes, Pure clinicians can prescribe a wide range of medications, when clinically appropriate. Pure providers do not prescribe narcotic pain relievers or other drugs listed as controlled substances by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency or regulated under State law – see Pure’s Prescription Policy here.
Can I receive a work note/Medical absence note or other paperwork with my visit?
Pure Providers are able to issue notes, referrals, lab orders, or other paperwork when deemed appropriate. Providers are not able to assist with worker’s compensation, FMLA, disability, or insurance paperwork.
Pure is unable to provide paperwork specific to requirements for filing insurance claims.
Pure can provide a letter of medical necessity for certain treatment plans, when appropriate.
How much does a visit cost?
Async general access visits cost $39 and Sync/video visit general access costs $75.
When using Pure’s services through an academic institute (Pure Campus Care) or community (Pure Community Care), your cost is determined by the organization’s specific plan – either discounted rates or at no cost. You can reference your organization’s marketing material to learn more about your benefit.
Treatment Programs such as Pure Weight Management Program are available but not included in the institute plans, and available for as little as $365 for the full program. You will be charged only per visit and there is no commitment.
Does my insurance cover Pure?
Your insurance does not cover Pure. Pure is available to patients outside of insurance. Pure does accept payment from FSA, HSA, and HRA accounts, and cannot provide service to Government plan beneficiaries. Pure is not health insurance and is not intended to replace comprehensive health coverage.
To pay for the medication, at the pharmacy, the pharmacy may accept your insurance if medication is covered.
Will my prescription be covered?
Everyone’s insurance is different. Please verify that the pharmacy you select is within your covered network before choosing it as your preferred pharmacy.
Records and Security - Is my personal information safe?
All the information you provide is encrypted and protected. Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy give more information on how we protect the personal information provided through our website.
Can I get a copy of my medical records?
Yes, simply log into Pure’s patient portal to view or download your medical records. If you need any further assistance please message us using our Chat or email support@pureaccesscare.com.
